Therapy for Emerging Adults

You’re technically an adult—but you don’t always feel like one.

Maybe you’re finishing high school or college and suddenly everyone is asking what comes next. Maybe you’ve started your career but still feel like you’re pretending to know what you’re doing. You might be navigating friendships that are changing, dating and relationships that feel more complicated, pressure from your family, or the realization that the path you thought you were supposed to follow doesn’t actually feel like your path.

This stage of life can be exciting, but it can also feel incredibly overwhelming.

You may find yourself comparing your life to everyone else’s and wondering why they seem so much more confident or put together. You might second-guess your decisions, struggle to set boundaries with your parents, feel anxious about disappointing people, or have trouble figuring out what you actually want when you’ve spent so much of your life trying to meet other people’s expectations.

Therapy can give you a place to slow down and figure out who you are outside of the roles you’ve been given.

Together, we can work on building confidence in your own decisions, creating your own set of values, understanding your emotions and relationships, developing healthier boundaries, navigating independence from your family, and learning how to trust yourself as you build an adult life that actually feels like your own.

You don't need to have your entire future figured out. Becoming an adult isn't about suddenly knowing all the answers, it's about learning to trust yourself to figure things out as you go.
